Is URLPDQ free to use?

Yes. Shortening a link, getting its QR code, and using our other tools (PDF, image, and productivity utilities) is free with no signup required. Creating a free account adds a dashboard where you can track click analytics, manage all your links, and create links in bulk.

Do I need an account?

No — basic link shortening works instantly with no signup. An account is only needed if you want to save your links to a dashboard, see click analytics over time, or use bulk link creation.

Do links expire?

Only if you set an expiration when creating one. By default, links stay active indefinitely.

Is there an API?

Not yet — API access for developers is on our roadmap. See the About page for what's coming next.

What's the difference between urlpdq.com and urq.me?

urlpdq.com is our main site, where you create and manage links. urq.me is the domain your actual short links use — six characters shorter, so the links you share are as short as possible.
